Neighborhood Traffic Management Program Application

  2. Criteria for NTMP Application
    • The primary applicant must be a resident on the requesting street segment.
    • Street segment cannot be less than 800 feet long.
    • Must have at least 40% of the homes fronting the street segment. 
    • Dead-ends and cul-de-sacs are not eligible.
    • If traffic calming measures are already in place, street is not eligible for additional measures.
    • Not eligible if the roadway has already been studied within the last five (5) years.
    • Must be within the City of Alamogordo city limits.

    **Resident Only Sign, Disabled Resident Only Sign, and Business Only Sign: if approved, a fee of $275.00 shall be paid to the City Treasurer prior to sign installation.

    I understand that if a treatment is approved and installed, it must be reviewed by the Public Works Director every two (2) years to ensure that the criteria still apply. Furthermore, I understand that the City retains the right to remove any installations at the direction of the City Manager at any given time.
