Our Education Center, located on the North end of the zoo, is home to over 20 enclosures containing our smallest critters. The animals in this building include snakes, lizards, fresh and saltwater fish, and more. The Education Center offers guests the opportunity to learn about our conservation efforts, the zoo's history, and all of the animals at our facility from the native to the nonnative.
In the summer months, the Education Centers acts as our "zoo classroom" for our Junior Zookeeper program where our education coordinator teaches the next generation of animal lovers about what it means to be a zookeeper.
The Education Center is only open when we have volunteers. To learn more about volunteering at Alameda Park Zoo please visit the Get Involved page.
