Aqua Fitness Sessions

  • Aqua Fitness Sessions will be closed for the season on Oct 30, 2022 

  • Check back frequently for schedule changes throughout the season as sessions will expand/contract based on staff availability throughout the season. 

  • Online schedule may not be accurate if sessions are cancel1ed due to unforeseen maintenance, weather or staffing issues. 

  • There are no lap swim, aqua walk or group fitness sessions held on recognized holidays during the pool season (i.e., Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)  

Session Fees

  • Group Fitness Exercise Session (Instructor Led): $4.00
  • Lap Swim / Aqua Walk Session (Independent):  $4.00
  • Multi-visit Pool Passes are available for discounted rates - for Pool Pass information please visit the AFRC Passes Page.
    • Please note, session fees are charged for each separate session, they do not cover the entire day. 
    • Drop in participation will be accepted if a session has not filled through pre-registration.
    • Passes are only good for the specific exercise session type purchased - there is a separate lap swim/aqua walk session pass from the group fitness/aquacize class pass.
    • Patrons are responsible for monitoring their passes and purchasing according to their anticipated need for the season.
    • Passes expire at the end of the season, refunds are not provided for unused visits.

LAP SWIM SESSIONS -- INDEPENDENT FITNESS

  • Two people per lane (age restrictions indicated below in session schedule) - swimmers must share lanes when full and swim within the designated lane lines.
  • Lap swim sessions are open to ages 11+ unless specifically noted as Adult/Senior Adult Only
    • 11- 13 year olds MUST be accompanied by an adult and share a lane with that adult
  • Distance is 25 yard length/50 yard lap
  • Depth remains the same within a lane, shallowest lane depth is 4 1/2' and the deepest is 9'  
  • Number of available swim lane will vary dependent on pool programming.
  • Registration: sessions allow for pre-registration (link above) which is recommended if you are sure you will attend and wish to ensure your spot. Drop in participation will be accepted if a session has not filled through pre-registration. Please note, pre-registration may be made online, in-person or over the phone up to 3 days in advance (once made fees are non-refundable). 
  • Age Parameter Change (effective 8/15/22): for specific sessions where noted below, youth ages 11 & up who are serious about fitness swimming may participate in lap swim sessions. Youth ages 11 - 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult (both individuals must pay the session fee). 
  • Participants are expected to follow all session rules and any direction given by the lifeguards on duty. Any behavior that is disruptive to other patrons will be addressed.

  • 11:15 AM - 12:45 PM    TUESDAY thru FRIDAY (Adults & Seniors Only)
  • 5:15 PM - 6:45 PM        MONDAY / WEDNESDAY / FRIDAY  
  • 10:15 AM - 11:45 AM    SATURDAY

  • 6:30 AM - 8:00 AM        MONDAY / *TUESDAY / *THURSDAY / FRIDAY  (*Tue & Thu - limited lane lines available)
  • 11:15 AM - 12:45 PM    TUESDAY thru FRIDAY (Adults & Seniors Only)
  • 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM*        MONDAY / WEDNESDAY / FRIDAY    (*CHANGE!!!)
  • 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM*      SATURDAY   (*CHANGE!!!) 

AQUA WALK SESSIONS -- INDEPENDENT FITNESS

  • Distance is 30 yard length/60 yard lap - walkers must walk east/west
  • Depth changes from 3' - 4 1/2' when walking
  • Number of available swim lane will vary dependent on pool programming.
  • Registration: sessions allow for pre-registration (link above) which is recommended if you are sure you will attend and wish to ensure your spot. Drop in participation will be accepted if a session has not filled through pre-registration. Please note, pre-registration may be made online, in-person or over the phone up to 3 days in advance (once made fees are non-refundable).
