Department Description

The Management Information Systems (MIS) Department is responsible for the maintenance of computerized VoIP phone system, over 350 workstations, servers, mid range systems, a citywide fiber-based computer network, and computer support to all departments. This includes;

  • Consulting
  • Installing
  • Purchasing
  • Recommending
  • Training

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide for the proper purchase, installation, training, maintenance, and repair of all city-owned computer equipment to ensure that each city department has the necessary computer resources available to them to get the job done in an efficient and timely manner.


Our vision of a team is one that consists of computer professionals, who strive to maintain the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and commitment, that with the appropriate resources, ensure a properly maintained computer infrastructure and a reasonably satisfied user community.
